What is in the two datasets
- ABS 2022: employer-firm counts and owner-group shares for Frederick County, the Frederick + Montgomery two-county metro proxy, Montgomery County, the Washington metro (CBSA 47900), and Maryland statewide, by 2-digit NAICS sector where published.
- The 2021 study: utilization, availability, disparity index, and statistical significance for every group in every category, both prime and prime + subcontract, transcribed from Appendix F Study Period rows.
- Exports reflect the current filter and sort order, so an evaluator or teammate can pull exactly the slice they need.
Reading the flags honestly
ABS demographic detail is heavily suppressed at county scale: an S cell means the estimate does not meet Census publication standards, not that the count is zero. The two-county proxy row sums independently noise-infused county cells, so it is approximate. The 2021 study figures are the City's official baseline, not HSG estimates; where the study's chapter and appendix availability totals differ by a few hundredths, the notes say so.
